Sunny Pretty Days!

This past week we have just been enjoying the beautiful weather. It is a good thing we have because the past few days have been yucky here! We have been to the park, played outside and rode 4 wheelers. Parker took Laney for a ride and she loved it! Parker has really been the sweet big brother lately. He watches out for her and is so sweet! Today, she was walking with her walker and she tipped it over and cried. He ran over there and hugged her and Laney stuck her thumb in her mouth (of course) and laid her head on his chest! It was the sweetest moment! I so wish I had my camera in my hand! Parker and Laney love each other so much!

Laney is starting to walk more and more. She will stand up, take a few steps, sit down and try again! Today, she walked the farthest ever! She took about 7 or 8 step in a row! It won't be long! Also, you know how all babies from about 4 months-15 months or so are just happy all the time and content where ever they are? Well that has certainly been true for Laney since she was about 2 months old (it took me till then to figure out she was so dern fussy at 6:30 that she was ready for her bath and bed! When I figured that out, she was happy all the time!) Well about a week ago, she has learned that if she wants something and does not get it, like go outside (her favorite place) to throw a fit! Man, I thought I had a few more months of sweetness and happiness all the time! Oh well, it is very funny when she throws a fit and she is quite the drama queen!

Parker has been playing 2 games a week of T-Ball. They have not won one yet but he is doing great! He has quite the cheering squad too! Of course Jason and I are at every game but so is Celeste and my Mom. And Mr. Chris (Celeste's boyfriend), Jason's Daddy (Granddaddy), Uncle Chris and Aunt Dana are there most every game too! Parker is doing great at fielding the ball and hitting. He is also starting to get that you have to tag the runner. He still needs to not fight over the ball with his own teammates! He was doing good at this but this last game, he fought over it more than once! Oh well, they are learning!

This might look like she is smiling but she is fussing because I just got pulled her away from the dog food bowl that she got everywhere and then the toilet paper role she got everywhere. Notice the evidence on her foot!

Oh man this looks fun to try!

Laney loved it! Parker was so good with her too! Laney kept trying to put it in the fast gear though. So I was right there the whole time but Parker is such a good brother and rode her around so sweet!
Parker posing for the camera at least
Can you tell how she is crawling? This is how she crawls when she is outside or on hard ground!

Parker doing what he does 99% of the time he is outside! Look at that swing! Jason says Parker's is better than his!
What on earth is this contraption in my yard?? Having to check the golf cart out (it usually stays at the club)

Ahh...success! I like this thing!

She has been trying to get Parker's suckers out of his mouth so I let her have a few licks of one! She liked it!

Laney in walking action! This was the most I had seen her walk. She took like 7 steps!

1 year Stats and the week in Laney's world!

Laney had her 1 year check up and shots this week. Height 30 inches..90% Weight 21 lbs 15 ounces 50%..Head don't remember but it was 90%. Not surprised at all about that one! My kids have my head which is big around. That means we have a big brain for our our knowledge right? Anyway, she is doing great. Learned a new word this week...Baby! While we were in Clarksdale of course we went to see Lucy Kate and Bryant! We love our little playdates with them! Also this week is the week of the young child at Laney's school and it was dress up day each day. So here are some pictures from the week! Oh and this past weekend was the last time Laney got Momma's milk. So so sad!! I am so proud of myself for making it the whole year and without formula..it was my goal and we made it but so sad that it is time to stop! Makes me want to cry but she is a big girl now! My baby is growing up!

Parker is still having fun playing T-ball. They still have not won a game but Parker is really doing good at 3rd base stopping balls! He just needs to learn to get people out. Right now, all he knows is stop the ball and get it to the pitcher! See the post below about his cute little preacher self!

Farm Day! Yes..I know this is very funny. Only my child has a smocked outfit on during Farm Day but look at the scene!

But the pants were too long and I did not want the black mess on their play ground to get on it so I went in Parker's old stuff and found some blue jeans! First time and probably the last for a very long long time she will have jeans on! Well again, only my kid has smocked top on and blue jeans! Another sign I am completely addicted to clothes and crazy!
And I forgot to post that I am such a big girl now with my carseat front facing! We turned it around last week! Watching Mickey Mouse and loving it!

Sweet Bryant and Laney!

All 3 of them in the ball pool! Sort of looking at the camera!

All the kids pretty balloons flying away! It was so pretty today!

My little Baptist Preacher

Well, if you know Parker you know he has been talking to stranger since he could and will say about anything. He truly is so funny. Because you just don't know what is going to come out of his mouth I have really not taken him to Children's Message during the Sunday Sermon. I mean I was really scared what he could say in front of the entire congregation. Well, he is 5 1/2 now and he started kinda wanting to go sit in big church until they are dismissed the Children's Church. This past Sunday which is only his second Sunday to go down to Children's Message his little hand went up and was looking at me and I was thinking "Oh No....what is going through his head and what is he going to say" So when Ms. Chrystin said, what is it Parker, I just held my breath. The message was about how we get into heaven and what was the key. Ms. Chrystin held up the big key maid out of tinfoil with a note on it that said "Jesus is the Key" So this is what Parker held his hand up and said when he was called on..."Jesus has the key to our hearts" Awwww....my heart just melted! My sweet little boy! Then walking back to Children's church Parker asked Mr. Eddie (the Wesley Foundation Minister) do you know wat else is in our hearts? God's Love. Mr. Eoddie said I sure like how you talk and you must be Baptist to know the Bible so well already! LOL! Well that Bellevue going for 2 years have sunk in and his Daddy is baptist! Poor Parker is gong to be confused like I was..growing up going to a Presbyterian school, going to a Methodist church and having Baptist thoughts by his Daddy! Oh well..it all is teaching us about Jesus! Anyway, I felt so bad for being scared what he was going to say!

PS...the Amnio in my last post..came back negative for Downs and both Trisomys! Praise the Lord!

Prayers Please!

I believe in the power of prayer so please pray for these babies. A guy I worked with and his wife have been trying for a long time to have their first child. 8 Invitros (no that is not a typo) and 5 miscarriages later they are finally pregnant with twin boys due at the end of June! Everything has looked great until a week or so ago. She is 27 weeks. One baby has fluid on his brain and the drs are almost certain something is wrong...maybe chromozonal which could mean he has something that will almost certain end in death. They are having an amnio soon, they may have had it already this week to see if it is chromozonal. Please pray that this baby will be able to come into this world healthy with his baby brother. The other baby seems to be fine. The guy I worked with is going to make a great father and I am sure his wife is just as sweet. They so deserve to raise two healthy babies. If this is not God's will, please pray for strength for them. I don't know which baby it is but the babies names are Grady and Landry. Thank you for your prayers!!!

T-Ball and Other fun stuff!

So this week Parker had his first T-Ball game! They did good with a rocky start. Most of the players are all new so there was a little of running to 3rd first, not paying attention and the ball coming right to them. Parker did not do any of that though but the thing Parker almost did was run from first to third but got directed in the right direction before he did! Besides that though, Parker did pretty good. Got on base each time at bat. They ended up loosing but it was 10-13! That was great considering it was 1-13 at one time! We are proud of you and can't wait to watch again!
Also as mentioned in the earlier post, Laney took her first steps! And today she is standing up all by herself without holding on! I am sure more steps are coming! Oh and lastnight I got her to say "Nigh Nigh!" So sweet! Today was Crosstie Festival. It is a Jazz and Art Festival that our town has every year. There are fun stuff for kids to do like face painting, crafts and train rides. The rain held off till the afternoon so we got to have some fun this morning! They had fun! Well, Parker got to do all the stuff and Laney well she people watched. The girl is NOSEY!

Getting dressed for my first T-Ball game. Momma was clueless about all this stuff so Daddy got the job!

Below..all dressed and ready to play!

Getting Ready to Hit the ball!

The third baseman waving to his Momma!

Getting his face painted at Crosstie. Don't ask me what he was. Some Frankenstein/vampire thing he said.

Parker having fun at Crosstie painting his tambourine
And Laney eating hers! Parker riding the train with his face all painted!

Trying to stand up! She now has mastered this but this was still in the practice stage!

Parker and Laney playing tea party! Laney got a tea set for her birthday for her age (the teapot sings and it has shapes for the cookies and cakes) and she loves it. I love that they actually can play and love each other so much!

Riding my horsey that Aunt Denise and Uncle Bradley gave me! Love it! I did not think she would know what to do but she did! She must be watching those older kids at school (the 2 year olds) on the playground!

First Steps!

Since I am kinda using this as a baby book..Laney took her first steps this afternoon! She for the past few days has been standing so good by herself and you can just see it in her eyes that she wants to step so bad, so we have been trying to encourage her. I thought she was going to do it this afternoon when I picked her up for daycare but she didn't. When we got home, we played outside and then came in where the big event took place! She was standing at me grinning with her Daddy watching and I kept telling her to come to me and she took 3 tiny (very tiny) steps! Jason and I both cheered and Parker said "What, what did she do?" He was not paying attention of course! Anyway, so that is the fun news! Maybe next time I will have camera or video camera in hand!

Easter!!

We had a great Easter! The kids had 4 egg hunts, Parker and I dyed 2 sets of Eggs, went to church and just had great family time. I love the fact that Parker knows what Easter is really about. He will tell you that Good Friday, Jesus died for us and in 3 days..(he says this real excited sounding) Jesus rose from the Dead! Last week was Holy week at his school and they had chapel everyday. I went to one service and Wow!! It was awesome to see all those children praising the Lord! I got chills and tears! Gave me the warm and fuzzies! Brought back memories too of PDS I went to and our chapel. Anyway, enjoy the pictures! I will come back later and post about our other fun stuff...T-ball!
Playing nicely together Easter Sunday!
What is this not lady like and good to do in my Easter dress?

This is what Laney thought of me trying to get a picture of her in her Easter dress.

Finally giving me a little smile and looking at the camera.

At least Parker was sweet and let me capture a good picture in his Easter attire.

momma and her babies.

The family Easter Sunday! Our church does a living cross every Sunday morning. Isn't it so beautiful??

Laney checking her basket out!

Parker checking out his basket! He was so excited about his soccer ball! The Easter bunny knew he really wanted one though! The Easter Loot! I swear I got teary eyed when I walked by 2 Easter baskets! This was Laney's first Easter since Easter was in March last year!

Briggs and Parker with the Easter Bunny. They both were such good sports that it wasn't their Egg hunt but their siblings!

Parker and Mr. Chris launching the huge rocket! It went 150 feet in the air!

Parker pushing Laney in the swing after the hunt. They both were having a great time!

Laney at her first Egg hunt at school that she actually participated in. She did so good!

Big Girl standing up by herself! I promise she only wore this dress twice!

How sweet! she was looking at the bunny of course!

Parker dying Easter eggs. He loved it and I feel like a horrible Mom. I think this is the first time we have done this but in my defense, he has been allergic to eggs!

Parker finding some eggs at the Church hunt

Laney with the Church bunny...she loved the Easter bunny! Parker was not happy so was not in this picture. He was not thrilled about the 12 egg rule.
