6 Weeks Old!

I can't believe it has been six weeks already! She is growing so much. I would guess she is probably 11 pounds by now and I tried to measure her and I think she is 22 inches now. A few things are even getting too small! Laney is doing well and sleeping pretty well still. She some nights has her witching hour I call it. Thank goodness it is not every night and at least when she does start her screamfest it is 6 or 7 at night at not in the middle of the night. I don't know what it is, if she is colic or what. So far she seems to do it every 3rd night or so. At least giving her a bath tends to calm her down. She still finds that very calming and enjoys it. This week I had my 6 week check up. I have lost all the weight I put on with her plus 4 pounds. I still have more I want to loose because unfortunately I had gained some extra weight over the last 2 years. I can fit into my regular jeans but I want in my skinny jeans! Laney did well on the trip to Memphis. She was a great shopping partner! I got her some cute things on sale at a store in Memphis that is closing. I am so upset that place is closing now that I have a girl! She got to meet a few of the ladies I use to work with in Memphis. They just loved her and said she looked like Parker in a dress! The doctor and nurses thought she was too cute too! I also had my first weekend alone with both kids. It went pretty well. Of course my Mom as always helped out a bunch. Jason had a state bowling tournament so now that is officially over with. Also I have to share something everyone probably knew that I saw on tv this week and it really makes a difference and I thought to myself I had to tell people if they did not know this. My mom didn't know it so I thought I might not be the only one. On the end of Reynold's wrap or Cling Wrap boxes there is a tab on each end you can punch in and it keeps the roll secure!! All these years of wrinkly cling wrap and tin foil for nothing! So maybe I helped one person resolve this issue too!
