This week we continued trying to stay in a good routine. For the most part we did and she continues to sleep pretty well at night! Laney developed a rash on her face, neck and chest which we went to the doctor about. We did not get into a pediatrician locally since we have not been to one yet around here but went to who Parker and I go to and she gave us some cream so hopefully it will make it better. If not, I go for my 6 week check up and the pediatrician we saw in the hospital and for her 2 week check up is right down the hall from my doctor and we will go there. Lesley (the FNP) said she thought it was more of a contact rash than Eczema. I just don't know what she has been in contact with differently. Parker got the same type thing at 1 month but the pediatrician said it was Eczema. Laney's rash does look a little different than his did. His was more dry patches of bumps hers is not really dry. Her face actually looks a bit oily in spots. We also wanted to talk about her fussiness, spitting up and obvious tummy aches at times. She could possibly have a touch of reflux but we are just trying some gas medicine Lesley gave us to see if it gets better, if not we will try the reflux medicine. Oh and her weight at 5 weeks....10 pounds 4 ounces! She did weigh with her clothes on which the other weights have been without but those can't weigh too much. I knew she was probably 10 pounds. Her head was 15 cm. It was 13 1/2 at birth. I looked at her head yesterday and immediately had sympathy for my friend Jennifer J. who had her little girl Eloise in late January and her head at birth was 15 cm. Bless you Jennifer! The other fun thing this week, I had my first girls night out I guess. We had our monthly church women's supper club. That was fun. It always falls on Tuesdays which is also Jason's bowling night so my sweet mom of course stepped in and kept them. They were sweet she said. Bowling thank goodness ended this week but of course my sports loving I have to be doing something all the time husband is starting softball soon. At least we can go watch and have fun at the games. I can live with that season. I am already dreading hunting season! At least it is something Parker is going to love once he can go. I don't think it will ever take the place of golf though. Parker LOVES going golfing with Daddy and gets to go at least once a week. Oh and this week Laney got to meet Ms. Kim and Ms. Gina. Ms. Kim has twin 2 year olds and they were so funny bringing all their baby dolls out. Not one of them had a stitch of clothing on them! They just loved Laney. It was so sweet. We continue to have lots of fun!! Here are some pics!
Oh how my kids LOVE their MIMI!!!
Parker going down a waterslide at a birthday last Saturday...It was freezing but he did not care!
