Great T-Ball Season!

Parker and his little team had a great year. Rough start with a few coaching issues but a few of the Dads and Jason took over as coaches after ours just disappeared and the boys really improved throughout the season and learned a lot. This was a great group of little boys. I loved watching them play! To see their little faces when they won and tied the top 3 teams was priceless! The last game we had a team party afterwards at Lost Dog Pizza. They each got a trophy and you would have thought this little boys won the world series! It was so special! Good job boys and I can't believe Parker is moving up to Coach Pitch! Great group of little boys!
Parker and his trophy!

Parker, AJ and Jacob...Parker and Jacob are playing on a traveling team..have I mentioned that yet? They won't really start playing till fall and not really even till the spring but they are practicing already!

Laney's First Pony Tail!

I bought some tiny ponytail holders a few weeks ago to try and start using them because Laney's hair is fine and it helps keep the bow in at school. I got the idea when she came home a few times from school with them in her hair. I have tried several times to put a real pony tail in her hair with no success. Well Laney is very much a "monkey see monkey do" kind of girl. Her teacher even told me that Laney has for "platts" in her hair one day after Ms. Shanta was putting them in Zoria's hair! LOL! Well one day last week ms. Shanta was putting a real pony tail in Anna Patton's hair and Laney wanted one too! It was so cute and now she will let me do it! She just now has gotten enough hair for a real one!

The Beach 2010!

When Parker got out of school, we headed to Sandestin. It was perfect and perfect timing since a few more weeks and I could not travel and there was no danger or oil in site! All the days were nothing but beautiful and going in May it was not as hot or crowded! Usually we have a big crowd going but this year it was just us and my Mom which honestly made it so low key and not stressful. It was truly relaxing. Jason and Mom pretty much let me sit in the beach chair all week. We just had a great great time! While we were there, Jason and I on the 20th celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. It was great! Enjoy the pictures! My big picture above on the blog too is from our trip. It was our last night there and notice how blonde their hair got from the first picture below (our first night there) to the above picture! I pay good money for that kind of highlight job and they get for free! LOL! Not to mention their tan. They have good complexions and I am jealous but that is ok. My sweet babies!
This picture just makes me SMILE everytime I look at it! They were being such hams and seriously have you ever seen a cuter brother/sister pair. Ok...maybe I am little bias!
10 years of the lots of laughter and some tears. So glad I have shared every moment with you Jason! Love you!!!

I was exactly 33 weeks and I thought we looked cute in orange but kids were so not in the mood!

Love this little face!

I think I can catch something too!

Laney thought she would try boogie boarding until the tiniest water would come up to her feet..she would run!

Hey Momma!Parker's other fav thing to do..boogie board! He was so good at it this time!

Here we come First Grade!!

Talk about emotional for this momma! I just can't believe he is going to be in the First Grade! They had their play and then got their little certificates. It is amazing how much Parker has learned this year! He really can read now, not just little words like he started 5k with! He can add, subtract and knows all kinds of things! He is just getting so big! I am going to cry the entire day of first grade I just know it!
Parker with his teacher Mrs. Field. She was so great!!

A Run Down of the Last Month

We have been busy this month as usual. It just was crazy with Laney's birthday, Easter, t-ball starting up and several school functions. We also went to our annual Crosstie Art and Jazz Fest here in town. Oh and throw in there Parker's broken wrist! T-ball started and we were worried that it was going to end t-ball that had not even gotten started yet when he broke his wrist but nope we were wrong! Parker is playing third base since he couldn't put a glove on with his cast but that is the only thing he can't do. First game and his second time to bat he hit a home run with cast and all!! Not to mention the several outs he has gotten at third and he throws that ball further than anyone on his team. Not accurately all the time but he gets it from third to first with no problem! He also got his cast off this week and first time up to bat with only a brace on he hit a home run with the bases loaded! So he drove in 4 runs! It was awesome. I can't tell you how excited he was too to be able to wear a glove this week! We had team pictures the day he got his cast off and instead of taking his picture with the bat, he wanted the glove! He has done so well too with outs. He even got 3 outs in one inning and I was such the proud Momma! I have a feeling we are going to be at the ball field a lot with this little boy! He just loves it!

I also chaperoned Parker' field trip to the Children's Museum. It was such a fun place, not sure why we had never been before! The kids had so much fun. I also have volunteered for several things lately, cooking and taking things places. I am wearing myself out though and this week had a few pains I had not been having so at my drs appointment this week she checked me and she said I was measuring big so we had an ultrasound. She scared me a bit when she said the baby's head was already down and right there and that she wanted to do this test that might predict labor within the next 2 weeks. I was thinking to myself...What! 2 weeks! You have got to be kidding! But thank goodness the test was negative! So I was anxious about that ultrasound but everything looked great and I just have to try and stay off my feet as much so that this baby will not come in May! Baby looked great and was 3 pounds 9 ounces! That sweet face too! I really think the baby favors Laney in ultrasound pictures but then again laney's pictures are more recent and fresher on my mind! It really has been fun not knowing what this baby is! I am so glad we did it this way although I will admit I am feeling a bit unprepared but it will be fine I know!

Parker and Laney my artists at Crosstie

Laney painting, it was so funny when she started to paint she painted her hand first to hand paint. The helpers were all students that help at her school and they said that is how they paint at school so she was just doing what she knows! Yes, notice we think she is for sure left handed!

Parker thinking real hard about his painting

Laney making hers. I think she just liked the glue

First Lost Tooth, First Broken Bone....Fun times!

So this week has been interesting. I get a call from school saying Parker fell off the monkey bars and they don't think his wrist is broken but he would not stop crying and saying it hurt if I would come up there and look at it and see if I could get him to be himself again. I get there and Mrs. Field says this just is not like him, I don't think it is broken but wanted to call you. I look at his wrist, not bruised or swollen. He even moves it ok up and down and wiggles his fingers but says it hurts bad when he twists it and is in obvious pain. So I asked him if he wanted to go take a picture of his bone to see if it was broken and he said yes. He must hurt wanting to go to the dr. We go in and I tell the nurse when we pass by her why we are there and she takes him back to get x-rayed. Our NP walked in and said I hate to tell ya this but it is broken! I couldn't believe it! I thought broken bones made you all swollen and black/blue! We were so happy to hear that the Ortho from a nearby town that is really good was going to be in the clinic that afternoon. So we went home and came back later that afternoon. He looked at the x-ray and in 2 seconds said yes it is broken! Called a buckle fracture. He is in a short cast so he can still do about anything. We thought this was the end of t-ball but NOPE! Parker is such an athlete he can still hit the ball great and just uses his cast as a glove! LOL!! No stopping him! Bathtime is a pain but we are managing! Also tonight he lost his first tooth! This week is full of firsts!

Parker lost his first tooth...pulled it himself! 4/2/2010!

It was tiny..can hardly see it!
