9 Months!

9 months has flown by!! Laney is so fun and doing lots of things! Her stats: 18 pounds 13 ounces and 28 1/2 inches long. New big news.....CRAWLING!!! AHHHHH! Yeah, not thrilled about that! As a second time around mom, I know this means for a while, no more leaving her unattended for a minute! No, it is fun though!! She started New Year's Eve but dragging a leg. This past weekend, she started crawling great! Everyday she has gotten better and better! The other night, I put her down and she would head to Parker's room. I would go get her, she would head right back! She also will head straight for the blinds and the plug ins!! Time to baby proof! She loves eating food! Not sure what her favorite is. She seems to like everything! She also has gotten one of her top teeth! So she has 3 teeth! That also happened this past weekend! It was a booger coming through! She also has started pulling herself to sit up. I am sure pulling her self up to stand is not far! She is usually so happy and smiling! Everyone always tells us in stores and such how cute and how happy she is! And they always comment on her big blue eyes! Anyway, we are so blessed to have her in our little family!

In addition, we had our 9 month appointment today and of course had to visit with Lesley, Lucy Kate and Bryant. They have grown so much and so cute! Laney showed Lucy Kate her crawling and headed for the door and Lucy Kate followed her! She is army crawling and it is so cute! Bryant and Laney played and kept taking blocks from each other. Well, I think Laney was taking more than Bryant. It is so fun to watch these precious babies play! Oh and Laney shared her baby goldfish with Lucy Kate. Laney was ready for a snack and Lucy Kate cracked me up staring them down. Lesley said I could give her some and I think Lucy Kate liked them! Anyway, we had a great visit!

This morning all bundled up and sporting her pink for Magdadlena!!

Spaghetti face. She loves it! ps Lesley it is just the babyfood kind and the graduate not our spaghetti yet!

Thinking hmmm.. what is over there

On the move to check it out!

Headed to Parker's room and Daddy following her surprising her! Love that look on her face!

Oh how I wish I had their Strength

My sorority sister Lori lost her little niece yesterday. She had Trisomy 18 and it was a blessing every day that she lived. She was born on August 6th and went to be with Jesus yesterday morning. A friend called me yesterday to ask if I had been on facebook or read the blog today and I hadn't. When I did, I promise I cried most the afternoon. This family has really touched me and so many others over the past few months. I just wish I had their strength. Just keep them in your prayers and if you want to be blessed (and be prepared to shed some tears) here is the blog. God surely is working through this family. I am just in awe of their faith in the Lord. Faith in the Lord has gotten me through my darkest days after Grace went to be with the Lord (and still keeps me going) but I think it no way compares to their faith and strength. They are such an insparation to me! PS..wear pink tomorrow for Magdalena!

Quick Update

I have lots of fun news to share but wanted to quickly post to let everyone know I have not fallen off the face of the earth! I will come back tomorrow after Laney's 9 month checkup and post about her 9 months and all she is doing! First, I wanted to share that come January 31, I will be a stay at home mom/Administrative Assistant for Jason' s business. I am excited and very nervous at the same time! I just have never not worked outside of the home but I am letting God be in control. I truly think that my main focus right now needs to be the kids and helping Jason get his growing business where it needs to be. Keep us in your prayers as I make this transition. Of course Parker will still go to school since he is in 4K now and Laney will remain going to daycare at the child development center. To do all that I need to do for Jason's business, we still need that. I am excited that I will now be able to pick Parker up from school and that Laney will only be in daycare half the day. Also, I still am thinking about teaching in the fall at the college here and she is in the best daycare around that also has a mile long waiting list so we are not loosing her spot! Anyway, just wanted to share the news! Look for more posts in the next few days!!

Happy New Year!!

We have really been busy hanging out, cleaning out and just having fun. One day this week we went to visit Millie, Connor and Elizabeth. We had a great time. New Year's Eve we had a few over, boiled shrimp and shot fireworks. It was great!! We have really enjoyed spending lots of time together and I am going to be sad going back to work next week!! We wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Parker being silly wanting to look like me after the shower! So he put my robe on and made me put a towel on his head! Silly boy!

Laney and Elizabeth playing. Well Elizabeth was taking it all in..she will be down there in no time with Laney!

Elizabeth and Laney. I think Laney is trying to teach her how to suck her thumb.

How sweet! Elizabeth 4 months and Laney almost 9.

The best part of 2008!!! Our little Laney on New years Eve and she is trying to make it over there to that pretty flower to knock it down! Ps...that poisettiea was in memory of our sweet baby Grace. Our church has this every Christmas and we got 3 poinsettias in memory of Jason's brother Joseph, my dad and our baby Grace. They are always with us!

Parker so excited about the fireworks. He loves fireworks!!

Loving the fireworks! Jason really got some good ones this year!!

Parker's first Hunting trip

Parker finally got to go with his Daddy hunting and boy was he excited. Parker is such a boy and loves everything that boys are suppose to love. He just has not gotten a chance yet to go with his Daddy hunting until today. I just love that Parker and his daddy have golf and now hunting to have some father/son time! They saw some deer but none big enough to shoot. Parker still had a blast! One thing too this week...Laney was sick! I took her to the dr Friday and she had the Pink Eye, Sinus Infection, Ear Infection and Chest infection! All that and no fever! She is going to be like me and not run fever when she is sick. She looked awful but she is better now. Also enjoy the pictures below. They were our Christmas card pictures! Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and remember the reason for the season!! JESUS!

5 year old wisdom

These are some funny Parker stories I wanted to write down so I could remember them. REad on if you want! Parker lastnight for some reason started talking about burping. Probably because my child has always been advanced in this and sounds like a full grown man sometimes! He at least says excuse me after he burps but still working on that we don't always do this so loudly in public. Anyway, I asked why people burped. He said you burp after you eat. I said why. He said because your body makes you. I said why..he said "would you stop asking me why"..oh payback is not fun is it my little Parker! Then he went on to say "because the food mixes with the other food and you burp." LOL! A little while later Parker said something about if I saw angels and that they were dead. I said no, angels are not dead they live in heaven with Jesus. I went on to say and you know we have angels up there like Grandaddy Bryant and Uncle Joseph and.... before I could say anything else he looked at me and said, "Momma, where is Uncle Joseph's stone that says his name" I knew exactly what he meant. I said "Paris, TN" He looked at me all confused and said "Under the Sea?" I could not help but laugh. I guess Paris, TN does kinda sound like Under the Sea if you have never heard of it before! This happened last year at Christmas but I was reminded of it while putting up my tree this year and I had wished I had written down the event so I could have remembered it better but here goes this story. I had a very pretty big bow at the top of the tree. Parker had a FIT! "Momma, our tree is NOT a girl tree." I said "What?" He said "It has a big hair bow and our tree is not a girl tree. A tree is suppose to have a STAR..duh." So I had to go buy a star. Thank goodness Wal Mart had a tasteful pretty star that matched my pretty gold ribbon. So because when Parker was 4 and had a fit that a tree had to have a star, our tree will have a star on top with the bow too!
