Parker is 5!!

So much has been going on in the past week that I have not had a chance to post! First, I took Laney to her 6 month check up and we stopped off to visit with Lesley, Lucy Kate and Bryant. It is so fun now that they actually can play! Laney was 17 pounds and 26 inches long. She was 75% weight, 50% height and 95% head! Ha, I know my kids have big heads..my fault..my head is big and actually I can't wear Jason's hats because they are too small. Big brain..that is what it means right? LOL! Parker's birthday was Friday..he had fun taking cookies to school and they sang this Happy Birthday to him during chapel on Friday. I am so sad I missed it but had a conference call. Saturday we had a great party and the weather was AWESOME! There were 20-25 kids there and they seem to have a blast. The theme was Frankenstein. Invites I loved! I have a picture but they have our address on it and don't want to make it completely easy for a crazy to find us. Ha! Anyway, they said "Goodness Gracious Sakes Alive our little monster is turning five!" We rented a big bouncey slide and my sister was insistent that we have games because the invite said The Harris Haunted House. She came up with grab your hands in the brains and pull out eyeballs (noodles and gummy eyeballs), fish for apples and she let the kids throw whip cream pies at her! The kids LOVED it! Of course we had the playset for the kids to play on too. I think it was a great party. One older sibling of a kid said "This is not my age group, but this is one cool party!" That night Jason and I went to a Halloween Party with a band.. We along with everyone there lets just say it felt like I was back in college. Yeah..the next day not so fun when you are in your 30s and have kids to take care of. The costumes were fun! Here are some pictures from our week last week. This week is busy too so look for more updates later this weekend!
All 3 somewhat happy!

No..I have not forgotten to mention anything..it was a Costume Party!! Celeste and Chris as "Redneck Wedding" That show on CMT? IT is too funny. She had a huge pink bow on her butt too. Oh and that is not Chris's real hair if you wondered..it cracked me up!

Jason and I as Gangsters..Parker thought we were cowboys. He does not know what a gangster is and want to keep it that way!

The Farm!

I had to share these too and why 2 posts in the same day! We did not have anything to do today so I thought it would be a great time to take the kids to Cedar Hill Farms since it is not far away where there is a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides and corn maze. Parker had a blast. Laney had a good time too. She LOVED the swing. That was her highlight. Parker, his favorite things were the shooting the paintball gun and the corn cannon. I am not surprised at all. He loves shooting those nerf guns so those 2 things were right up his alley! He loved the corn maze too. Knew he would since all he does lately is play the maze games on his leapster. It was so pretty today. We had a great family day.

This is the best thing ever!

Ma-ma

Mama..Laney's first word! She sounded like she was saying it about 2 weeks ago but this week
she is saying it for real and meaning Ma-ma pick me up now! She is very much a Mama's girl. She is happy all the time but if she sees me, she lets whoever know that she wants Mama to get her. Parker's first word was Dada then Mama and his 3rd word...OUTSIDE! ha big words! No doubt she will be saying that soon too. She loves outside. I also gave her a sippy cup with apple juice in it this week. She loved the apple juice but could not really figure the whole sippy cup thing out! It was kinda funny!

Laney also has another ear infection. She has not run any fever but the runny green nose, waking up in the middle of the night crying and cough..I know from experience what that usually means. I was right. Oh Dr. Toulioutus I think we might be visiting you soon.
Parker is good. He is getting ready and so excited about his birthday coming up! Can't believe he is about to be 5. Where does the time go?

MMM..I like this apple juice stuff!

Ahh..thank you mama

Saturday afternoon..Laney loved the swing
Wasn't as sure about the slide
Parker loves it though

Happy girl

Birthday Weekend

Yep, it was my 32nd birthday. I feel so old! We had a great weekend that started off going to bed early Friday night! Much much needed for all of us! Saturday I went to an Estate sale then took Parker and Laney out to Octoberfest. Those of you that don't live around here, Octoberfest has nothing to do with the German Oktoberfest. It is a weekend of BBQ ccokoff, music, fun and crafts. Parker amazed me how well behave he has gotten! So pleased since I was out there by myself with him and Laney. I just remember when I took him out there to play 2 years ago when I drug him off crying, last year he was pretty behaved but this year an angel! Oh my little boy is growing up into a mature little boy! He did for some reason see one of my sister's very skinny friends who did have one of those flowing shirts on and he told her her belly was fat. It was not at all, she is very thin! He said he was just kidding but had to have a talk about things we shouldn't say. That night we went to Crawdad's for a birthday gathering. It was fun. Yesterday, my actual birthday we just hung out at the house, napped (the only present I wanted!) and headed over to Momma's for a dinner she made. My aunts too from Idaho are in town. They are so much fun and all of them actually said Laney looked just like me when I was a baby. Anyway, that was the weekend in a nutshell. Here are some pictures.

Last Sunday afternoon hanging outside. with Daddy.

Oh my big boy Parker

My sweet little Laney!

She was trying her best to get some of that dirt in her mouth!

Parker being completely silly and decided to try out her carseat. Don't worry we did not ride home like this!

6 Months Old

Laney is 6 months old now! Hard to believe. What is she up to? Well she is sitting up, talking all the time baby talk, playing, chewing on everything and eating more baby food. She loves those Gerber biter biscuits and toast. She is pretty good and chewing on those. Not sure how much she weighs and how long she is. Her appointment is not until the 20th. She was 16 pounds 5 ounces 2 weeks ago. She sounds a lot like she is trying to say Momma. Not sure if she is meaning too. It is mostly when she is fussing it sounds like Momma! Well here are some pictures from the past 2 weeks like I promised.
Laney 6 months old. My flash was not working..I think I need to charge it!

Laney and Elizabeth meet. Laney 1 week shy of 6 months old and Elizabeth 5 weeks old. They both look a lot like their brothers. I think Elizabeth is a spitting image of Connor
